July 4th Fireworks Safety
Published: July 01, 2025
As the July 4th celebrations approach, our community is reminded of important safety measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for everyone.
Fireworks Safety
• Fireworks ARE NOT PROHIBITED in Bluff Dale – Per Tommy Shelton, Erath County Fire Marshal
• If using fireworks in unincorporated areas of Erath County, always check for current burn bans and fire restrictions before igniting them, as conditions can change rapidly.
• Always have water readily available (a bucket or hose) to extinguish malfunctioning fireworks or in case of fire.
• Young children should never handle fireworks.
• Keep pets indoors and secure during fireworks displays. Loud noises and bright lights can be terrifying for them.
As of July 1, 2025, there are no burn bans expected in Erath County for Fourth of July celebrations.
However, conditions can change. It is always advisable to check with local officials or fire departments for the most current information on burn bans in Bluff Dale and Erath County before engaging in any outdoor burning or fireworks activities.
Fire Marshal Shelton wants to remind our community that any fire started by fireworks and any damage sustained whether on private or Mountain Lakes Ranch property is the SOLE responsibility of each property owner.
Mountain Lakes Ranch Board of Directors wishes all our owners and their families a very Happy 4th of July….please be careful during this holiday weekend.
